A Conversation With Gore Vidal →
My favorite part, among many, on Barack Obama: He’s highly educated – and rather better than a country like this deserves. Put that in red letters. Done. kateoplis: Who is the best leader in the Democratic Party right now? Do you mean, Who can give the best speech? Who can raise the most money? Look, I’m not a sentimentalist. Nor am I a romantic. I don’t believe in the Great Man theory...

Easy guide to playing FLAC →
Don’t fear FLAC files ever again, with the help of the handy Fluke utility for Mac OSX you can convert FLAC files for easy import into iTunes. Need to play them on an iPod? Well in that case you’ll have to convert them to MP3 via the advanced menu from the iTunes menu. Unfortunately iPods will not play FLAC files out of the box. Protip: Adjust the import settings on the General tab...

Aplus.net Sucks Monkey Scrotum (Or what happens...
I use aplus.net for work to host images and media that I use for advertising research. Since I work in a financial company they are extremely strict about FTP and have blocked it to any external sites. Aplus had a nifty file manager which allowed me to transfer data via HTTP without any issues. After a recent “upgrade” I was now stuck with this ugly DOS Shell looking interface that...
